The year 2020 was a landmark for Afghanistan. country witnessed the signing of peace deal between US and Taliban as well beginning intra-Afghan negotiations that, first time since 2001, brought together representatives from Government These two political milestones occurred in parallel to long-delayed final announcement September 2019 Presidential elections results. This followed by power-sharing agreement signed on 17 May, which ended impasse deriving contested electoral outcome. In Afghanistan, like all other countries world, COVID-19 pandemic had major impact country’s economy people’s livelihood. Despite prompt government response implementation some very tough lockdown rules, Afghanistan’s weak health system limited testing capacity meant that real scale negative massive, albeit difficult capture. With regards international relations, under examination characterized continuity approach regional powers, Pakistan, India above China, towards Kabul. Each these has continued supporting their preferred actors Afghan scene, but put Pakistan strong position, given long-standing support Islamabad provided fundamentalist Islamic militia.
